	Hillside Erosion Control Program The VCRCD assists in the preparation and review of Hillside Erosion Control Plans on new agricultural developments in critical areas (sloping lands). This service is provided to the County of Ventura as specified in the Ventura County Hillside Erosion Control Ordinance. details Calleguas Creek Watershed Streambank Conservation Practice Permit Coordination Program The Ventura County Resource Conservation District and the Natural Resource Conservation Service have established a “Calleguas Creek Permit Coordination Program” that will significantly simplify the permitting process for those wanting to undertake any of the following conservation practices… details Water Resources Conservation & Development The County of Ventura has developed and adopted a Water Conservation Plan. The VCRCD has a lead role in the implementation of the measures recommended for agriculture water conservation including: on-farm evaluations, workshops, field tours and expanded educational services. details NRCS EQIP Program Environmental Quality Incentives Program provides financial and technical assistance to farmers and ranchers who face threats to soil, water, air, and related natural resources on their land. details Environmental Education and Outreach To provide coordination, networking, and facilitating of the environmental education providers, educators, and organizations in the District. details Agricultural Preservation Plans, reports, projects and program associated with Ag preservation details Conservation Materials, information and programs associated with conservation details Mobile Irrigation Energy Lab Irrigation and energy analysis for Ag operators details Calleguas Creek Arundo/Tamarisk Removal Project [CCARP] The Calleguas Creek Arundo/Tamarisk Removal Program (CCARP) will provide guidance to Calleguas Creek Watershed stakeholders for removal of invasive plants within the watershed, under the leadership of the Ventura County Resource Conservation District (VCRCD). In particular, it will facilitate the removal of species such as arundo (Arundo donax) and tamarisk (Tamarix spp.) through the inception of a programmatic review and permitting process on a watershed-wide basis. The plan will also provide a set of methods for removal, disposal, and revegetation. Best management practices will also be developed to reduce erosion and other impacts to the environment. details Board Meetings details
